Elemental Heroes
Greetings duelists! Seth here with another deck for you to try out. Last week was a deck based on a Destiny Hero, so I thought it only fair to make a deck based around their counterparts, the Elemental Heroes. This deck is quite popular, but also quite hard to make correctly. The decklist I have here is what I believe to be one of the better decks based on the Heroes. Without further ado, the list:
-=Monsters=-
3 - King of the Swamp2 - Elemental Hero Sparkman
2 - Elemental Hero Wildheart
2 - Elemental Hero Clayman
2 - Magical Merchant

2 - Elemental Hero Necroshade
-=Spells=-

-=Fusion Monsters=-
3 - Elemental Hero Flame Wingman
3 - Elemental Hero Mariner
3 - Elemental Hero Necroid Shaman
3 - Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer
3 - Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster
3 - Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman
3 - Elemental Hero Shining Phoenix Enforcer
3 - Elemental Hero Steam Healer
3 - Elemental Hero Tempest
3 - Elemental Hero Thunder Giant
3 - Elemental Hero Wild Wingman
3 - Elemental Hero Wildedge
The point of this deck is to abuse the living crap out of the many fantastic Elemental Hero fusions and swarm the field with them. First turn Shining Flare Wingmans are not uncommon with this deck, along with many of the other fusions. The deck has an amazing ability to adapt to any situation simply by which Elemental Hero comes out. Now, for the card-by-card breakdown:
King of the Swamp: This guy makes a lot of the Fusions possible. For example, fusing him with Sparkman creates either Shining Hero. Quite a bargain, I would say. Plus, he can be used with Miracle Fusion while in the Graveyard. Three of him is a must in any Elemental Hero deck.
Elemental Hero Sparkman: He's got a decent ATK, and makes some important Fusions with King of the Swamp. He's really only in for the sake of necessity, though. Still, he can beat head when the situation calls for it.
Elemental Hero Wildheart: What's an Elemental Hero deck without the best non-Fusion hero in the game so far? A 1500 ATK that's immune to traps? I'll take it. Also, he fuses into what I believe is the most useful Elemental Hero fusion so far: Wildedge.
Elemental Hero Clayman: Like Sparkman, he's really only in the deck for necessity. But a 2000 DEF wall never hurt when your facing down a legion of small monsters.
Magical Merchant: The Swiss army knife of the deck, this guy serves two purposes. Firstly, he gets a much-needed Spell or Trap to your hand. Also, he can dump Elemental Heroes into the Graveyard to be fused with Miracle Fusion. It's especially nice if Necroshade gets dumped.
Elemental Hero Bladedge: What's not to love about a 2600 piercer? With Necroshade in the Graveyard, he becomes a powerhouse, coming down for free and most likely piercing for major damage.
Elemental Hero Necroshade: With multiple ways to get Necroshade to the Graveyard, he serves the purpose of getting Bladedge in play fast. He also fuses with Wildheart into the marginally useful Necroid Shaman.
Magician of Faith, Breaker the Magical Warrior, Sangan: Standard tech, mostly.
E-Emergency Call: Like a Reinforcement of the Army except for Elemental Heroes. It can get Bladedge too, which is a nice bonus if Necroshade's ready to be used.
Messenger of Peace: This is a purely defensive card, used when the deck isn't working like it's supposed to and you're facing down an onslaught from your opponent. Spells are notoriously harder to get rid of than Monsters, so this should stick around for at least long enough for you to mount some kind of offensive.
O-Oversoul: For when you absolutely, positively have to deal the final points of damage.
R-Righteous Justice: This card wins games, I Guarantee it. However, it's much too situational to warrant using more than one. You don't want to draw it when you have no Heroes.
Smashing Ground, Nobleman of Crossout, Premature Burial, Heavy Storm, Graceful Charity: Standard tech.
Return From the Different Dimension: When removing Monsters from play with Miracle Fusion, it's nice to be able to bring them back for one final assault.
Sakuretsu Armor, Call of the Haunted, Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute: Elemental Heroes don't have very much good Trap support, so these are really pretty interchangable with your personal preference. This I believe is the optimal lineup.
Now some may dispute me on the lack of Skyscraper in this deck. To that I say, the deck really doesn't need it. The main attack force is your Fusion monsters, which are already quite large in and of themselves. It's more of a win-more card than a game-changer.
This deck can really surprise your opponent, who wouldn't excpect a deck like Elemental Heroes to come out so fast and hit so hard. Try it out, it just may suprise you as well.
